Firehawks Deal Dolphins A 55-0 Shut-Out in East Division |

Los Angeles, CA (Aug. 9, 2008) With less than 2 minutes played in the game #20 (DB) Damien Hale intercepted his first of three balls and took it to the house to put Foothill in front of the California Dolphins. Hale, named player of the game, has 7 interceptions on the year getting 183 yds and 2 TD’s for the Firehawk defense. It was another stellar day for Foothill on defense as they continue to hold opponents scoreless. The Dolphins had 11 possessions and the Foothill defense forced 4 three and punts plus intercepted California QB’s 6 times total. Also the Foothill Firehawks offense got into a groove with #7 (QB) Josh Knight lighting things up with a 23-26 296yds and 5 TD’s 0 INT’s performance. “It was another balanced attack that gave us momentum tonight” said Head Coach Ken Harsha. The offense gained over 100 yds on the ground for the second week in a row on 24 attempts. 26 pass attempts and 24 run attempts got the Firehawks to the 50 play mark for only the second time this season. The Foothill Firehawks return home this week to play another division rival in the Las Vegas Kings. Kick-Off is set for 6PM at Monrovia High School. See You at the game!! |
